Lead Dental Assistant — Boutique Fee-for-Service Practice (Laguna Niguel)
We are looking for a Lead Dental Assistant to join our tightly knit team. What sets us apart is simple: we build real relationships with our patients and focus on clinical excellence — not on volume or upselling. We are a small, tight-knit team, our practice has been located in Laguna Niguel for 53 years, and we are passionate about the work we do. Our focus is on family dentistry with an emphasis on complex restorative and TMJ/TMD treatment.
The role
As our lead assistant, you'll be the backbone of clinical flow — assisting chairside, taking x-rays, and managing sterilization. You'll work directly alongside the doctor in a calm, collaborative environment where your judgment and attention to detail genuinely matter. We're not looking for someone to run scheduling or ordering, but a hand with inventory is welcome — and for the right person, there's real room to grow and take on more responsibility over time.
Schedule
Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, 8:00–5:00, plus one to two Mondays per month. Work-life balance and flexibility are real benefits of this position.
Compensation & benefits
· $27–$34/hour, depending on experience and licensure

What we're looking for

· Current California RDA preferred
· Current California Radiation Safety (x-ray) and Coronal Polish certifications required
· Comfortable managing sterilization
· Dental assisting experience (a plus)
· Familiarity with Dentrix and intraoral scanning (a plus)
