Overview
Kevco Construction is seeking a reliable and motivated Delivery Driver / Shop Assistant to support our construction operations. This role is responsible for transporting materials, maintaining company vehicles and equipment, and assisting with general shop and jobsite needs.
The ideal candidate is dependable, organized, and takes pride in supporting a team that delivers high-quality commercial construction projects.
Duties
- Safely operate company vehicles to deliver materials, tools, and equipment to job sites
- Pick up materials from suppliers and vendors as needed
- Ensure timely and accurate deliveries to support project schedules
- Maintain a clean driving record and follow all safety regulations
- Assist with organizing and maintaining the shop and storage areas
- Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment
- Track inventory of tools and commonly used materials
- Prepare materials and equipment for upcoming jobs
- Perform routine inspections and basic preventative maintenance on company vehicles
- Keep vehicles clean and organized
- Report any maintenance or repair needs promptly
- Assist project managers and field teams with miscellaneous tasks
- Perform general maintenance and upkeep of company facilities, shop areas, and storage spaces
- Assist with minor repairs, organization, and improvements to maintain a clean, safe, and efficient work environment
- Support basic property maintenance tasks such as equipment upkeep, site cleanup, and seasonal maintenance as needed
- Support jobsite needs as required
Job Requirements:
- Must be 21 years or older
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening
- Ability to lift and carry materials (up to 50 lbs)
- Strong work ethic and reliability
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Basic mechanical or construction knowledge is a plus
- Forklift experience is a plus (not required)
