JOB DESCRIPTION:
Kettle Creek Creamery is an independent home-made ice cream shop on the beautiful Washington square! The ideal candidate is a service-minded professional that possesses a passion for ice cream and is excited to help develop new ventures. The creamery manager/supervisor will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the store, coordinating, scheduling, supervising, directing and organizing the food and beverage service.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Greets all customers with fast, friendly, personalized service.
- Provide prompt and courteous service to all customers, encouraging the guest to return again to generate repeat business.
- Actively participate in floor operations in peak hours, and as needed.
- Enforce a clean and tidy work environment.
- Ensure the team has what they need to succeed by keeping our shop at 100% operational occupancy.
- Create a culture of hospitality that inspires our team to take care of each other and uphold product quality standards.
- Position employees and delegate tasks to create an enjoyable experience for our customers by providing exceptional customer service with prompt service, the highest quality food and beverages, and maintaining a clean and comfortable dining environment.
- Maintain a calm demeanor during periods of high volume or unusual events to keep store operating to standard and to set a positive example for the entire team.
- Open and close the store as needed.
- Properly utilize supervisor checklist and initials off on required tasks.
- Administer and lead inventory counts. Assess, maintain and create purchase orders for equipment in food and beverage department.
- Follow operational policies and procedures, including those for cash handling and safety and security, to ensure the safety of all employees during each shift.
- Adhere to and enforce all kitchen standard operating procedures in compliance with company policy, health and food handling safety regulations.
- Ensure recipes are followed properly to ensure a consistent product. Over-pouring/over-scooping is not occurring and portion control is being followed; address issues if they are found.
- Conduct interviews and hire qualified staff members, forecast need and timeline for seasonal hires.
- Assists with new employee training by positively reinforcing successful performance and giving respectful and encouraging coaching as needed. Provide feedback to management on employee performance.
- Train new staff and ensure ongoing staff training to maintain service standards.
- Be an expert at all employee duties to ensure you are “leading by example” in all that you do. Follow the mentality that there is ‘always something to do’ and train productivity.
- Ensure the proper image is being maintained by all team members with respect to grooming and uniform standards.
- Perform all other duties as directed by immediate supervisors.
- Make suggestions for improvements in overall operations with an emphasis on increasing customer satisfaction, revenues as well as reducing costs.
- Work closely with owner operator to propose, implement and assess success of promotions and specials.
