Ketel Thorstenson, LLP (KT) is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Associate to join our Client Accounting Services team in our Gillette, WY office location.
In this role, you will support multiple client organizations by managing accounts payable processes, ensuring timely and accurate invoice processing, and providing high-quality client service in a professional services environment.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Process vendor invoices for multiple clients, including coding and documentation
- Manage accounts payable workflows across client systems and platforms
- Prepare and execute vendor payments (ACH, check, wire) in accordance with client and firm policies
- Monitor outstanding payables, due dates, and cash requirements
- Assist with vendor setup and maintenance, including W-9 collection and 1099 tracking
- Communicate with clients and vendors regarding invoice status, approvals, and payment timing
- Reconcile accounts payable subledgers to general ledger balances
- Identify and resolve discrepancies, including duplicate or incorrectly coded invoices
- Maintain organized, accurate workpapers in accordance with firm standards
- Support month-end and year-end processes related to accounts payable
Required Qualifications:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field, or equivalent experience
- Minimum 2 years experience with accounts payable, billing, or general accounting functions
- Experience with accounting software and Microsoft Office, including Excel
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with multiple clients or in a service-based environment
- Familiarity with accounts payable platforms (e.g., Bill.com or similar systems)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Additional Information
Work Schedule & Location:
- Full-time position
- Standard schedule is 40 hours per week, Monday – Friday
- Additional hours may be required during peak periods
- Based in our Gillette, WY office location.
