POSITION SUMMARY:
Perform routine clerical and administrative functions such as drafting correspondence, scheduling appointments, organizing and maintaining paper and electronic files, or providing information to callers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Other duties may be assigned or changed)
• Operate office equipment, such as fax machines, copiers, or phone systems and arrange for repairs when equipment malfunctions.
• Use computers for various applications, such as database management or word processing.
• Make copies of correspondence or other printed material.
• Learn to operate new office technologies as they are developed and implemented.
• Answer telephones and give information to callers, take messages, or transfer calls to appropriate individuals.
• Complete forms in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Assist in meeting planning and logistics

Tasks require the ability to exert light physical effort in sedentary to light work, but which may involve some lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling of objects and materials of light weight (5-15 pounds). Tasks may involve extended periods of time at a keyboard or work station.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/CERTIFICATION
LICENSE(S)
Must possess current valid State of Alaska driver's license or be eligible to receive one within 90 days of hire date and an acceptable driving record for KIC's Insurance carrier.

- 6 months or more experience working in an administrative position or customer service related position
