Job Title : MuleSoft Developer
Location: Columbus, OH
Position Description
Primary Responsibilities:
- Design, build, test, and deploy integration solutions using MuleSoft’s Anypoint Platform (Mule 4.x runtime, DataWeave 2.x, API-led connectivity).
- Develop APIs (RAML/OAS specification), implement API policies, and manage the full API lifecycle using Anypoint API Manager.
- Create reusable connectors, system and process APIs, and experience APIs following API-led connectivity architecture.
- Implement complex data transformations using DataWeave, handle error handling, logging, and transaction management.
- Integrate with a wide variety of systems (Salesforce, SAP, Workday, databases, SaaS applications, on-premise legacy systems) via connectors (Salesforce, Database, HTTP, VM, SFTP, etc.).
- Perform unit, integration, and performance testing; support deployments using Maven, MuleSoft Runtime Manager, and CloudHub or RTF.
- Monitor and troubleshoot integrations in production using Anypoint Monitoring and Visualizer.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 5 years of integration development experience; at least 2 years hands-on with MuleSoft (Mule 4 preferred).
- Expert in Mule 4 flows, DataWeave 2.x, MUnit testing, and Anypoint Platform components (Runtime Manager, API Manager, Exchange).
- Strong understanding of RESTful and SOAP web services, JSON, XML, OAuth 2.0, JWT, and API security policies.
- Proficiency with Maven, Git, CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, etc.).
- MuleSoft certifications required: MuleSoft Certified Developer – Integration and API Associate (essential), MuleSoft Certified Developer – Integration Professional (preferred), and ideally MuleSoft Certified Architect.
- Solid Java development background (collections, exception handling, concurrency).
- Experience with CloudHub 2.0, Runtime Fabric (RTF), and hybrid integration patterns.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with Anypoint Flex Gateway, AsyncAPI, or Event-Driven Architecture.
- Knowledge of Kubernetes/Docker for RTF deployments.
- Familiarity with message queues (Kafka, JMS, Anypoint MQ).
