The Tennis Shop Attendant’s responsibility is to welcome members and guests to the Club and provide assistance to their needs, as well, help direct guests to the Tennis and Pickleball area, and Pavilion.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Answer Keswick Club’s main telephone line and distribute calls accordingly.
- Sell Merchandise.
- Oversee the cleanliness of the Tennis shop.
- Rotate Merchandise and change displays weekly.
- Help with Tennis shop promotions and sales.
- Ensure that all merchandise is properly priced.
- Manage shop counter and POS.
- Assist in keeping up-to-date inventory records and monthly in-stock counts.
- Assist in establishing buying plans and inventory tracking.
- Actively promote club tournaments and functions.
- Awareness of club rules and functions, all tennis fees, and hotel tennis and pickleball packages.
- Oversee daily tennis bookings and communications with the staff to ensure proper service to all incoming players (members and guests).
- Make court times for members and hotel guests.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
KNOWLEDGE
- Fundamental knowledge of the game of tennis, rules of tennis & pickleball, racquets facility operations, and tournament operations.
- Must be computer literate.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Ability to work flexible shifts, weekends and holidays.
- Strong customer relations skills.
- A positive attitude.
- Willing to work in a team atmosphere.
SUPERVISION
- Position functions with supervision
EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of a High School Diploma (or equivalent) and 0-2 years of experience. However, a combination of experience and/or education will be taken into consideration.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Sit and stand for extended periods of time.
- Frequent lifting, bending, stooping and pulling.
- Lift and/or carry up to 50lbs.
UNIFORM REQUIREMENT
Tennis/Golf, attire is required (Polo, Golf slacks, and tennis shoes/sneakers).
