Entry-Level Manufacturing Engineer — Product Development & Quality

Location: Kesseboehmer Retail Merchandising – Wilmington, NC

Employment type: Full-time - On Site

Pay Scale Range: $50,000 USD – $80,000 USD Based on Experience, Education, Technical Level.

About the role

We’re looking for a motivated, detail-oriented Manufacturing Engineer to support product development and quality activities. Using the engineering drawing and revision information, this role will help turn product requirements and design updates into reliable, manufacturable processes while supporting quality and continuous improvement. The Role will also work in assisting Procurement with Sourcing and Technical Data.

Key responsibilities

·         Support new product development, design changes, and engineering documentation.

·         Review 2D drawings and 3D models for dimensions, tolerances, materials, and manufacturability.

·         Create and update models and drawings using Creo or SolidWorks.

·         Assist with manufacturing process development, work instructions, and production readiness.

·         Support quality activities, including inspections, nonconformance investigations, corrective actions, and root-cause analysis.

·         Help maintain product, material, routing, and revision data in SAP or another ERP system.

·         Collaborate with design, production, quality, and supply-chain teams.

·         Participate in process improvement and help reduce defects, waste, and production delays.

·         Assist with Procurement on Sourcing and Technical Data

Qualifications

·         Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, or a related field—or equivalent practical experience.

·         Familiarity with Creo and/or SolidWorks.

·         Basic understanding of engineering drawings, GD&T, manufacturing processes, and quality principles.

·         Familiarity with SAP or other ERP software is preferred. (Infor LN, Epicor would be great)

·         Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.

·         Careful attention to detail and willingness to learn in a hands-on manufacturing environment.

• You’ll help ensure product designs are clear and manufacturable, engineering and ERP records are accurate, and quality issues are identified and addressed collaboratively and Procurement is able to Source Efficiently.
