What are the responsibilities and job description for the Legal Operations Associate position at Kerwin Associates?
Our client, a venture capital firm, is seeking a Legal Operations Associate to join their legal team. This person will partner directly with the General Counsel and Legal Counsel and work closely with the firm’s broader legal and compliance department.
Responsibilities:
- Quickly respond to day-to-day legal operations tasks
- Spearhead long-term legal projects and programs
- Manage relationships with internal and external teams
- Drive cross-functional projects and initiatives, keeping timelines and team members on track
- Own the intake and review of legal requests from across the firm
- Plan, organize, and expand the legal knowledge and records repository
- Serve as the primary administrator for all legal-related technology and tools
- Maintain organizational chart and other charts
- Review and report on a departmental budget
- Assist in managing the firm’s IT and cybersecurity function
- Evolve the legal operations function over time to become a strategic thought partner in systems development and optimization

Requirements:
- 1 years of experience in legal ops, legal consulting, legal analyst, paralegal, legal assistant or in a similar role
- In person in our SF office Monday - Thursday
The salary range for this position is $100,000 - $130,000 per year bonus equity benefits. A candidate’s salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, and certifications.
