Duties
- Develop new business opportunities through proactive lead generation, prospecting, and networking within the logistics industry.
- Manage existing client accounts by providing exceptional customer service, understanding their supply chain needs, and offering customized transportation solutions.
- Conduct sales negotiations with clients, carriers, and partners to secure profitable freight contracts while ensuring compliance with international trade regulations and trade compliance standards.
- Coordinate transportation planning and shipping logistics for diverse freight types including air freight, freight forwarding, and NVOCC (Non-Vessel Operating Common Carrier) services.
- Utilize Transportation Management Systems (TMS), CRM software, and Microsoft Office tools to track shipments, manage data entry, and maintain accurate records of client interactions and sales activities.
- Collaborate with internal teams to optimize logistics operations, improve service delivery, and ensure timely shipment execution across 3PL (Third-Party Logistics) providers and freight brokerage networks.
- Engage in ongoing client communication to nurture relationships, identify new sales opportunities, and support customer retention strategies.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in logistics company environments with a strong understanding of supply chain management, transportation management systems, and shipping logistics.
- Demonstrated success in B2B sales within the freight forwarding or 3PL sectors; experience with freight brokerage or carrier sales is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of international trade regulations, trade compliance standards, and transportation planning processes.
- Excellent negotiation skills coupled with exceptional customer service abilities to foster long-term client relationships.
- Proficiency in CRM software (Customer Relationship Management), Microsoft Office Suite, and data entry accuracy.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced sales environment with a proactive approach to lead generation and account management.
- Effective communication skills for client interaction, internal collaboration, and negotiation purposes.
