Land Survey Crew Chief - Brenham Office

Kerr Surveying, LLC
Brenham, TX Full Time
POSTED ON 4/5/2026

At Kerr Surveying, our mission is clear:

“When one person stands to gain over another, the facts must be uncovered.”

That belief guides every boundary we establish and every decision we make in the field. We don’t just measure land—we uncover truth, protect property rights, and build trust through precision and professionalism.

As a Land Survey Crew Lead / Party Chief / Crew Chief, you are entrusted with more than equipment—you are entrusted with accuracy, leadership, and responsible charge in the field. You will lead survey crews across boundary, title, topographic, and specialty surveys throughout Texas, serving as the on‑site authority for execution, data quality, safety, and professionalism.

This is a senior field role for someone who knows the craft, respects the process, and is ready to lead others with clarity and accountability.

Your Role at Kerr

You will:

  • Lead and manage daily field operations for assigned survey projects

  • Review collected data for accuracy and completeness before submission
  • Train, mentor, and set expectations for Kerrveyors and Kerrveyors‑in‑Training
  • Enforce Kerr Surveying SOPs, safety standards, and equipment accountability
  • Maintain survey vehicles, instruments, and crew readiness at all times
  • Coordinate with office staff, Project Managers, and RPLSs to resolve field issues
  • Take ownership of outcomes—problems are addressed, not passed along

This is a leadership role. You are expected to set the tone.
