We are currently seeking a patient-focused X-Ray Technician to join our X-Ray Department at our Burlington and Mebane locations. The X-Ray Technician uses imaging modalities, performs radiographic procedures, applies principles of radiation protection, and evaluates radiographs for technical quality while exercising professional judgment and providing excellent patient care.
Schedule:
3 β 10 hour days and alternate weekends
Additional Details:
A minimum of one year of x-ray experience in an outpatient clinic setting is preferred. Experience with EPIC is a plus but not required.

Additional Details:
- Rotation between Burlington and Mebane sites as needed.
- Participation in weekend coverage on a rotating basis (approximately 1 in 6 weekends, 7-hour shifts)
- Occasional evening and weekend shifts may be required based on departmental needs.
- Position includes floating to the Bone Density area to provide support as needed.

Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Radiology Technology program
- Current A.R.R.T. certification (RT-R)
- Current BLS certification with AHA
- Adheres to all applicable federal and state regulations regarding the operation of radiological equipment.
- Checks in patients as needed.
- Verifies patient identity using two identifiers prior to performing diagnostic radiographic testing.
- Clearly explains the purpose and nature of radiology procedures to patients to minimize fear and anxiety.
- Positions and transfers patients using proper lifting techniques and immobilizes as necessary.
- Selects appropriate exposure factors by properly adjusting equipment on an individual basis.
