Kern Segal & Murray – Associate Attorney Position
Daly City civil litigation firm seeks a full-time Associate Attorney (0-3 years experience) to begin work immediately. Our firm has a broad range of practice areas, mainly personal injury and construction defect insurance defense.
We are looking for a self-starter who is highly motivated to succeed in a fast-paced and detail oriented environment.
The position will provide a substantial amount of responsibility with an appropriate level of supervision.
Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- drafting pleadings and correspondence
- taking and defending depositions
- working with clients on day-to-day advice and counsel inquiries
- handling a large caseload
- drafting discovery
- document review
- attending court hearings
Qualifications:
- applicants must be licensed in California for the Associate position
- post-bar applicants awaiting bar results will have an opportunity to move into an Associate position once sworn in
- detail-oriented
- an ability to work independently
- strong communication and writing skills
Experience or interest in Construction Defect, litigation, and/or public entity defense is a plus.
Salary Range: $100,000 depending on experience.
Full benefits (HSA, medical and dental) after 3 months of employment
