Description
Kern Regional Center is one of 21 private, non-profit regional centers contracted by the State of California through the Department of Developmental Services (DDS) to coordinate community-based services and support for individuals with developmental disabilities and their families. Kern Regional Center services over 10,000 individuals in Kern, Inyo and Mono Counties. Our counties cover approximately 22,000 square miles with a population of over 945,000 people.
The Transfer Coordinator will serve as a liaison between Kern Regional Center and other regional centers as a primary point of contact regarding inter regional center transfers. This individual will facilitate coordinated efforts within the regional center system, understand MOU and IRCTs, and assist with efforts to improve the IRCT process. They will also be responsible for various clerical tasks such as data entry, filing, scanning, inputting title 19s, and obtaining case materials.
Requirements
The Ideal Candidate:
- High school diploma and three years of related experience. Any combination equivalent to or likely to provide the required knowledge and skills is qualifying.
- An associate degree in a related field may be substituted for experience.
- Bilingual language fluency (Spanish/English) highly desirable.
- Mobility sufficient to reach, lift and transport files and other work material to work areas

Salary hourly range for this position $17.67 to $23.68
Starting hourly rate $17.67 to $19.48
