Kern Regional Center is one of 21 private, non-profit regional centers contracted by the State of California through the Department of Developmental Services (DDS) to coordinate community-based services and support for individuals with developmental disabilities and their families. Kern Regional Center services over 10,000 individuals in Kern, Inyo and Mono Counties. Our counties cover approximately 22,000 square miles with a population of over 945,000 people.
This Program Manager will be responsible for the management of resource development, program evaluation, and quality assurance of resources vendored with Kern Regional Center, implements a wide variety of services to assist persons with developmental disabilities to achieve a normalized and independent life, as well as other assigned tasks as needed. This individual will oversee the program development fund process with Area VIII Board and the needs assessment in identification of resource development tasks and the expansion or new development of programs. They will also coordinate quality assurance efforts for vendors with KRC.

Requirements

**The Ideal Candidate**
- A bachelors degree in one of the following areas: social work, psychology or closely related field from an accredited university with four years of increasingly responsible experience preferably in programs serving the developmentally disabled to ensure a thorough understanding and knowledge of the developmental model.
- Masters Degree is preferred.
- Must have 3 years of Community Services experience
- Possession of a valid California Drivers License and State automobile insurance, and acceptable driving record substantiated by a DMV printout.
- Full use of automobile or ability to provide for independent transportation.
- Must be able to drive to various sites as assigned on a daily basis.
