IT Manager (Information Technology Manager)

Kern Regional Center is looking for a dedicated IT Manager who is looking for their next challenge. The IT Manager will be responsible for establishing and supervising the development and administration of efficient and effective data processing service systems, communication systems, and related technological operations systems through project planning, system analysis, program development and implementation. The IT Manager evaluates existing systems for effectiveness and operational cost efficiency; provides new systems and technical solutions to meet Agency objectives; supervises information systems staff; oversees completion of special projects related to analysis of data; and performs related work as assigned.

The Ideal Candidate

• Bachelors degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university in IT or Systems Engineering. Masters degree in either of these fields with technology as a core component preferred. Or a minimum of five years in related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Extensive experience managing and/or directing an IT operation.
• Possession of a valid California Drivers License and State automobile insurance, and acceptable driving record substantiated by a DMV printout.
• Full use of automobile or ability to provide for independent transportation
• Must be able to drive to various sites as assigned on a daily basis.
• Must be available to work evening, weekend, and be on call.

Starting Salary $96,220 - $106,083
