Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for an Infectious Diseases Clinical Pharmacist based in Bakersfield, CA. The Clinical Pharmacist will work collaboratively with healthcare providers to optimize patient care by delivering evidence-based pharmaceutical services, including medication therapy management and monitoring for infectious diseases. Responsibilities also include preparing and compounding medications, ensuring compliance with regulations, participating in multidisciplinary rounds, and educating healthcare staff on appropriate medication use.
Qualifications
- Background in Pharmacy Practice, including experience with pharmaceutical care and patient-centered treatment plans
- Proficiency in core Pharmacy and Medicine knowledge related to infectious diseases
- Experience in Compounding, with attention to accuracy and regulatory compliance
- Attention to detail, strong communication skills, and ability to collaborate in a multidisciplinary healthcare environment
- PharmD degree required; completion of a PGY-1 residency and PGY-2 residency in infectious diseases preferred
- Active and unrestricted pharmacist license in California
- Relevant certifications such as Board Certification in Infectious Diseases Pharmacotherapy (preferred)
