EXAMINATION SCHEDULE:
Examinations:
Written Exam (Weight 100%): Will be conducted for the purpose of assessing the applicant's knowledge of simple arithmetic, including ratios and proportions; knowledge of basic hand tools and electric floor equipment used in janitorial services; ability to follow written and oral instructions; ability to use good body mechanics and follow basic safety practices in the performance of job duties; ability to read and understand labels on containers and supplies, and other relevant subjects.
Applicants must attain at least a 70% score on each phase of the examination process.
Minimum Qualifications/ Employment Standards:
Possession of a valid Class C California Driver’s License is required for some positions.

Following an offer of employment, you may be required to submit to post offer medical and drug screening tests at County expense.
This examination will establish an eligible list from which immediate appointment(s) will be made. Other permanent and temporary appointments will be made as needed. Successful candidates will remain on the eligible list for a period of twelve-months, unless specified otherwise by the Civil Service Commission.

The Human Resources Division may solely conduct an appraisal of application materials should there be an insufficient number of candidates to warrant a written examination. Should an appraisal be necessary, the appraisal will be weighted at 100%.
