We are seeking a highly skilled Experienced Cabinet Maker capable of executing advanced builds, maintaining production quality, and contributing to an efficient, high-performance shop environment.
Position Summary
The Experienced Cabinet Maker will be responsible for constructing high-quality custom cabinets from start to finish, interpreting detailed drawings, operating woodworking machinery and hand tools, and ensuring that all finished products meet our standards for precision and craftsmanship. This role is intended for an individual who brings deep experience, strong leadership instincts, and a commitment to contributing positively to team performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Fabricate, assemble, and complete custom cabinetry and millwork with high precision and craftsmanship.
- Read, interpret, and build from detailed drawings, plans, and digital specifications.
- Operate woodworking machinery and hand tools, including saws, routers, sanders, drills, and specialty equipment.
- Install hardware including hinges, drawer slides, pulls, and accessories.
- Troubleshoot issues, maintain quality controls, and ensure accuracy across all builds.
- Support a fast-paced production environment by meeting deadlines and managing priorities effectively.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize workflow, improve processes, and reduce downtime.
- Assist in mentoring and guiding less experienced team members as needed.
- Maintain clean, organized work areas and uphold all shop safety standards.
- Utilize digital tools within the company's paperless workflow for project tracking and communication.
Qualifications
Required:
- A passion for the craft and the customer experience
- Several years of direct experience in custom cabinetry or fine woodworking.
- Highly capable of woodworking techniques and construction methods related to high-end custom cabinetry.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications with minimal oversight.
- Strong competency in operating industrial woodworking machinery and hand tools.
- High attention to detail, precision, and quality control.
- Professionalism, accountability, and strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and perform physically demanding work for extended periods.
- Reliable transportation and consistent punctuality.
- Basic computer proficiency to work within our paperless shop environment.
- A "team player" mindset.
Preferred:
- 5 years of experience combined in carpentry, millwork and custom cabinetry.
- Advanced finishing or specialty build skills (e.g., custom millwork, specialty joinery).
- Prior experience mentoring junior team members.
