We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Part-time Automotive Body Shop Estimator to join our dynamic team. In this role you will be accurately assessing vehicle damage and preparing detailed estimates for collision repairs and paint. Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough inspections of damaged vehicles to evaluate repair needs using computer-aided vehicle damage estimating software
- Prepare accurate and comprehensive repair estimates for collision damage, including parts, labor, and additional services such as mechanical repairs or diagnostics
- Communicate clearly with customers regarding repair processes, costs, and timelines to ensure satisfaction and transparency
- Collaborate with insurance adjusters to facilitate smooth claims processing and approvals
- Maintain detailed records of estimates, repairs, and customer interactions in accordance with company standards
- Support the overall workflow of the body shop by coordinating with technicians and service advisors
Qualifications
- Proven experience in auto service management, auto estimating, or collision repair estimation
- Strong mechanical knowledge with familiarity in automotive diagnostics, transmissions, brakes, suspension, tire service, and other mechanical systems
- Prior dealership or collision center experience is highly preferred
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly and professionally
- Knowledge of computer-aided vehicle damage estimating software (such as CCC ONE or Mitchell) is a plus
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
