Position Summary We are seeking an enthusiastic, creative, and community-minded TK–8th Grade Art Teacher to lead our visual arts program. In this role, you will bring our core value of Creativity to life across campus. You will design hands-on, engaging visual arts experiences that adapt developmentally from foundational sensory/fine-motor exploration in TK–K to multi-medium technique, art history, and personal expression in grades 1–8. Key Responsibilities Curriculum & Instruction (Rooted in Curiosity & Creativity) ? Design and execute a sequential, standards-based visual arts curriculum aligned with the California Arts Standards for Visual Arts (TK–8). ? Inspire student Curiosity through exploration of varied media (drawing, painting, sculpture, 3D construction, digital media, or printmaking). ? Integrate cross-curricular themes, connecting visual art to historical contexts, STEAM/science concepts, and literature. ? Highlight diverse artistic traditions, local Central Valley artists, and contemporary global voices. ? Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all learners, including English Learners, students with IEPs/504 plans, and gifted scholars. Studio Environment & Character Building ? Build a safe, inclusive, and joyous studio environment where students build Character through perseverance, reflection, and constructive critique. ? Manage art equipment, materials, studio safety, and annual supply budgets efficiently. ? Utilize restorative practices and proactive, positive classroom management consistent with Kepler's school culture. Community Engagement & Student Exhibitions ? Anchor the arts in our Community by displaying student artwork throughout the school and organizing an annual Downtown Fresno / Kepler Art Exhibition. ? Collaborate with TK–8 grade-level teachers on interdisciplinary projects and school-wide culture events. ? Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to share student achievements and highlight creativ
