Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook meals according to planned menus and resident dietary requirements
- Follow standardized recipes and proper portion control guidelines
- Prepare food for regular, therapeutic, and special diets as directed
- Maintain high standards of food safety, sanitation, and kitchen cleanliness
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
- Assist with food preparation, storage, and inventory as needed
- Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas
- Support the dietary team in providing exceptional meal service to residents
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Previous food service or healthcare dietary experience preferred
- Culinary training or certification is a plus
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices preferred
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
