Role Description The Safety and Security Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Pomona, CA, responsible for overseeing safety and security programs across Keolis operations at the location. This role develops, implements, and monitors policies and procedures to protect personnel, passengers, facilities, and assets, ensuring alignment with company standards and regulatory requirements. Day-to-day tasks include conducting risk assessments, inspections, and incident investigations; coordinating safety training and security awareness programs; and maintaining emergency response plans. The manager collaborates with local leadership, operations teams, and external partners, including law enforcement and regulatory bodies, to address security incidents, improve safety performance, and support continuous improvement. This position also prepares reports, tracks key safety and security metrics, and recommends corrective actions to reduce risks and enhance overall safety culture.
Qualifications
- Strong Physical Security and Security Management skills, including experience with facility security, access control, and incident response.
- Knowledge of Information Security and Cybersecurity principles to support protection of operational and organizational data.
- Understanding of Network Security concepts and practices to coordinate with IT and technology teams on secure infrastructure.
- Experience in safety management within transportation, logistics, or similar regulated environments is highly beneficial.
- Familiarity with relevant federal, state, and local safety and security regulations and industry best practices.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and report-writing abilities, with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to train staff and foster a proactive safety and security culture.
- Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, safety management, security studies, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
- Professional certifications in safety or security (e.g., CPP, PSP, CSP, CHSP) are an asset.
