Knowledge And Experience
- Two (2) years’ experience as a Service Writer
- Provide excellent customer service from intake to release of vehicle, and perform any additional follow up
- Listen carefully to drivers’ descriptions and assess the vehicle to determine the best repair plan
- Communicate with Parts Department and technicians to make sure everything needed is on hand
- Maintain records by keeping all files organized
- Analyze operating problems effectively and develop effective courses of action
- Experience working with fleets
- Must be computer literate
- Must be reliable
- Must work efficiently on team
- Must have positive attitude
- Good communication skills
- Must be able to stand long periods of time, kneel, push, and pick up items up to 50 lbs
- Must pass 7-year background check and ongoing drug screening
- Identify services needed
- Clarification of driver complaints
- Preparation of repair work order (RO)
- Dispatching (RO) to technicians and communicating.
- Maintaining drivers informed of repairs and estimated times.
- Perform proper hood checks
- Transportation of vehicle when needed
- Perform pre- inspection
- Administration of meter seal appointments
- Daily lot walks to ensure every hard-down vehicle is noted on the rear window with expected repair or part
- Drug and alcohol screening: Employment contingent upon passing pre-employment drug and alcohol screen. Also, contingent upon receiving a favorable background check. Must pass a physical examination.
