What are the responsibilities and job description for the Van Route Driver 2025-20266-2027 position at Keokuk Community School District?
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a passenger vehicle to transport students to their destinations
- Follow designated routes and schedules to ensure timely pick-up and drop-off of students
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting passengers with boarding, securing belongings, and answering questions
- Communicate effectively with students, providing clear instructions and information
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations to ensure the safety of passengers and other road users
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in proper working condition
- Maintain cleanliness of the vehicle interior, including regular cleaning and sanitizing
-Take daily attendance
Experience:
- Previous experience as a shuttle driver or van driver is preferred
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact professionally with passengers
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
-Must be able to obtain a D-3 license.
