JOB SUMMARY
The primary function of the Service Office Manager is to supervise the daily activities within the service office, working closely with the Service Manager, Service Foremen and the District Warranty Manager to facilitate scheduling and maintain proper and timely processing and collection of service repair order invoices.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
2. Oversees the proper work order processing for accuracy and on time invoicing.
3. Resolves invoicing and accounting issues with customers and other department staff.
4. Oversees and Maintains purchasing records for the department, issuing purchase orders to vendors and receiving purchase orders and product. Processes vendor invoices for payment.
5. Required to provide training to all staff. This includes new hire orientation, reviews and ongoing training as needed.
6. Recruits and hires all department personnel. Will participates in recruiting events as requested by the Service Manager.
7. Maintain accurate work order records and time records for all staff.
8. Performs additional duties as necessary
QUALIFICATIONS
Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information. Working understanding of truck repair and maintenance. Good judgment and problem-solving skills. Excellent computer and customer service skills required. Ability to think and make decisions in a busy environment with success. Previous leadership experience in the industry preferred. Bilingual individual desired.
WORKING CONDITIONS
This position will require the individual to stand six to eight hours per shift. Will stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, walk extensively, handle and feel. Will be exposed to noise, vibration, dust, exhaust fumes, paint, and other hazardous and nonhazardous materials. Maybe required to lift up to 35 pounds unassisted. Requires use of a computer and mobile device, contacting customers by phone, email, text and in person. Limited travel may be required.
