The Collision Repair Technician Helper is responsible for assisting in performing high-quality repairs to damaged vehicle bodies and frames, restoring them to manufacturer specification and pre-accident condition using a variety of tools, techniques, and equipment. This role requires a basic understanding of collision repair. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to safety, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. You will work closely with lead technicians, estimators, painters, and other team members to deliver timely repairs that align with both company and industry standards and ensure customer satisfaction.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Assist technicians with vehicle repairs, including sanding, masking, prepping, and parts removal/installation.
- Support repair work such as dent repair, frame straightening, welding, and vehicle disassembly/reassembly.
- Help with routine maintenance, structural repairs, and safety checks.
- Keep the shop clean, organized, and compliant with proper waste disposal practices.
- Assist in inspections to ensure vehicles meet quality and safety standards.
- Safely use tools and equipment, including spray guns, power tools, and hand tools.
- Record repair details, parts used, and updates in a timely manner.
- Follow all safety procedures and wear required protective equipment.
- Handle and store hazardous materials according to regulations.
- Work collaboratively with team members on repair and prep tasks.
- Stay informed and compliant with OSHA, EPA, and other safety/environmental guidelines.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS

Education and/or Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 6 months of related experience in collision repair preferred.
- Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.
Language Skills
- Ability to read repair estimates and work orders
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required
- I-CAR Certification desirable not required.
Physical Demands
- Ability to do consistent physical activity such as reaching below and above shoulder level, kneeling, bending, squatting and standing for long periods, and the ability to lift over 50 lbs.
- Work involves exposure to typical shop environments including noise, dust, and vehicle fumes.

Salary : $18 - $21
