Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Toolmaker located in Los Angeles, CA. The Toolmaker will be responsible for creating, repairing, and modifying die-casting molds and tooling to maintain production standards. Day-to-day tasks involve operating machine tools, interpreting technical drawings, conducting regular maintenance and quality checks on tools, and maintaining compliance with safety and manufacturing standards. The Toolmaker will work closely with the engineering and manufacturing teams to ensure seamless operations and high-quality production.

Qualifications
- Experience with machining tools such as lathes, grinders, and milling machines, and expertise in tool and die-making techniques.
- Strong understanding of blueprint reading, technical drawings, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
- Skills in precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges for accurate tool fabrication and inspection.
- Knowledge of die casting processes, materials (aluminum and zinc), and tool maintenance procedures.
- Problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and resolve tooling issues promptly while ensuring production efficiency.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including engineering and manufacturing departments.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- High school diploma or equivalent education; technical certification or apprenticeship in tool and die-making preferred.
- Previous experience in die casting or metalworking industries will be advantageous.
