Scope of Position
Under the direct supervision of the Maintenance Manager, the Mechanical Maintenance Technician and Electrical Maintenance Technician will be responsible for preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs to be performed on a variety of textile equipment within our manufacturing plant. Both roles require strong mechanical or electrical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Inspecting, repairing, and maintaining either mechanical components or electrical systems of textile machinery such as drawing, spinning, and winding frames.
- Performing preventive maintenance tasks either mechanical or electrical to ensure optimal machine performance and minimize downtime.
- Troubleshooting either mechanical or electrical issues and diagnosing problems with machinery.
- Repairing or replacing defective parts and components to keep machinery operational or electrical components, such as motors, switches, relays, and sensors, to ensure proper functionality.
- Utilize hand and power tools, welding equipment, and precision measuring instruments to complete maintenance tasks.
- Installing, calibrating, and configuring mechanical parts or electrical systems and controls for textile machinery
- Collaborating with other maintenance team members and production staff to address maintenance needs and ensure smooth operation.
- Following safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and others.
- Keeping accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, repairs, and parts inventory.
- Participating in training programs to stay updated on new equipment and maintenance techniques.
- Possesses reliable transportation and has the availability to respond to off-hour call-in’s.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $25.00 per hour
