Assistant Professor of Health Care Administration
Kentucky Wesleyan College, a private, liberal arts college with a long-standing reputation for quality and academic excellence, is seeking a dedicated and experienced faculty member to join our Business Administration department, specializing in Healthcare Administration. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing curriculum, teaching undergraduate and graduate courses, conducting research, and contributing to the academic community through service and leadership.
Major Responsibilities
- Teaching: Develop and deliver high-quality courses in healthcare administration, including but not limited to healthcare management, healthcare policy, healthcare finance, and strategic planning in healthcare.
- Service: Participate in departmental, college, and university committees. Engage in community service and professional organizations relevant to healthcare administration.
- Advising: Mentor and advise students on academic and career goals. Supervise student research projects and internships.
- Curriculum Development: Assist in the development and revision of the healthcare administration curriculum to ensure it meets industry standards and prepares students for successful careers.
Qualifications
- Education: A Ph.D. or equivalent terminal degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration with a focus on healthcare, or a related field.
- Experience: Demonstrated excellence in teaching at the university level.
- Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and students.
- Professional Involvement: Active participation in relevant professional organizations and a commitment to staying current with industry trends and best practices.
