Position Details:
PRN Position
Job Summary:
- Supervise and coordinate activities of nursing personnel in patient care units, participates in planning work of assigned units and coordinates activities with other patient care units and related departments
- Provides oversight for multiple hospital departments in the absence of unit management
- Supervises nurses and staff and takes administrative responsibilities
- Ensure patient's needs are met and evaluates unit nursing care and performance
- Leads and directs the work of others
- Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
- Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department
Qualifications:
- Requires a bachelor's degree in nursing, certification as a registered nurse (RN)
- Must have a license to practice professional nursing in the state of Kentucky
- 5 years of experience in the field - supervisory experience preferred
- Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures
- Current BCLS and ACLS upon hire
- Interpersonal skills to successfully interact with patient, guest, physicians, and other employees
