Certified Surgical Tech - First Assistant
Position Details:
Full-Time Position
$15,000 Sign-On Bonus with 24-month commitment
Job Summary:
- Provides direct support to surgeons during surgical procedures
- Positions and preps patients prior to surgery
- Ensures clear visibility for the surgeon by using instruments such as retractors and sponges, controlling bleeding, closing surgery sites using sutures or staples and properly dressing wounds
- Collaborate with doctors and other surgical team members to ensure proper post-operative care of patients
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Graduate of a certified surgical technician program and a recognized first assistant training program
- 1 year experience as a certified surgical tech is required
- Kentucky First Assist License required.
