Position Title: ProStart Coordinator
Reports To: KRA President & CEO
Position Summary: The ProStart Coordinator will work closely with the President & CEO to fundraise and build relationships with donors, the Kentucky Department of Education, schools and teachers. The ProStart Coordinator will implement and expand the ProStart Program throughout the State of Kentucky and will maintain and implement all of the standards for the program as set forth by the National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation.
Full time salaried position with benefits. Salary $55,000 commission
Responsibilities:
- To serve as the champion for and professionally represent the ProStart program for Kentucky through KRA.
- Work with the President & CEO to secure funding for the continued growth of the ProStart Program.
- Network with hospitality industry professionals to develop potential worksites and mentors for ProStart students.
- Work with ProStart teachers to coordinate curriculum and provide teacher training throughout the year as well as develop, coordinate, facilitate and promote training for ProStart teachers.
- Visit established and potential worksites of ProStart students as needed.
- Maintain KRA records of prospective and current hospitality industry professionals, mentors, students, parents, teachers and competition judges.
- Complete annual reports for ProStart as required by NRAEF and/or KRA.
- Maintain accurate up-to-date information for current ProStart schools for website and print.
- Assist schools as necessary to ensure that they are meeting the standards set for the program by NRAEF.
- Maintain and distribute quarterly and marketing reports to the President & CEO and designated NRAEF contact.
- Process all applications for the ProStart Certificate of Achievement.
- Will ensure that the State ProStart Standards are met as designated by the NRAEF on an annual basis.
- Will assist with the planning and implementation of the Kentucky ProStart Student Invitational and National ProStart Invitational as directed by the President & CEO.
- Ability to travel by automobile or air within and out of the State of Kentucky.
- Serve on local advisory boards as requested by the President & CEO.
- Maintain accurate record of expenses and submit expense report to the President & CEO at least once a month.
- To assist with the maintenance of all social media for ProStart in Kentucky.
- Attend designated events and meeting as requested by the President & CEO.
- Assist with other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the President & CEO.
Qualifications:
- High School degree or equivalent
- Excellent communication skills: oral, verbal, written and phone
- Must be highly detail oriented and organized with the ability to multi-task
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products
- Self-Motivator with the ability to work independently
- Ability to meet deadlines and follow through on tasks
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 30 pounds
- Experience and knowledge of the foodservice industry is preferred
