The Facilities Division is hiring two (2)Security Specialist position that provides Defense Threat ReductionAgency (DTRA) security measures for Wendell H.
Ford Regional Training Center and grounds within jurisdictionof the Department of Military Affairs.
Job duties include but are not limited to the following :
- Provides (DTRA) Defense Threat Reduction Agency security measures for facilities and groundswithin jurisdiction of the Department of Military Affairs.
- Provides Defense Threat Reduction Agency security measures to include but not limited to controlling entryand exit of military & civilian personnel / vehicles and other equipment at various entry control points, standsguard and patrols to ensure buildings & grounds are properly secure;
- Conducts person & vehicle searches, secures crime & incident scenes and participates in response tointrusions or attacks as a member of emergency response force.
- Operates vehicles, communication equipment, intrusion detection devices, weapons and otherspecial purpose security equipment;
- Ensures the operating condition and maintenance of all assigned equipment.
- Responsible for attending / completing all annual training provided by state and federalgovernment training.
Minimum Requirements EDUCATION : High school graduate.
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS : NONE
Substitute EDUCATION for EXPERIENCE : NONE
Substitute EXPERIENCE for EDUCATION : Experience in law enforcement, security, the military or a related field will substitute for the education on a year-for-year basis.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (AGE, LICENSURE, REGULATION, ETC.) : Must be twenty-one years of age.
