What are the responsibilities and job description for the Extended Season Entertainment Ambassador Ages 16+ position at Kentucky Kingdom?
This position is part of our Extended Season, requiring availability from early May through the first week of January 2027. Applicants must be able to commit to working during this entire time frame.

Job Description:
Entertainment Ambassadors work to help create memories through entertainment experiences that will last a lifetime for our guests. Each team member will show professionalism and self-motivation.
Additionally, the ideal candidate will be able to display and live out Lead with Love qualities, by being patient, kind, trusting, unselfish, truthful, forgiving, dedicated and accountable.
Job Responsibilities:
- Maintain a neat, clean, and professional appearance at all times by following Kentucky Kingdom’s grooming and apparel guidelines.
- Enforce Park policies.
- Follow daily plan for activities and activations for entertainment
- Interact with guests in a friendly manner.
- Help to maintain performance venues cleanliness and appearance
- Open and close performance venues as part of the team
- Handle and help with walking Characters in the park and following character protocol
- Keep work area clean.
- Follow all departmental SOPs.
- Have a basic knowledge of the park and park-wide SOPs to assist guests as necessary.
Essential Job Skills:
- Ability to use appropriate radio communication, including codes, accurately and efficiently.
- Ability to perform job efficiently.
- Ability to communicate in a clear and effective manner.
- Ability to enforce park policies and interact with all guests in a positive and friendly manner.
- Ability to comfortably interact with all guests, especially children and families.
- Ability to assist costume performer for up to 30 minutes at a time and withstand extreme heat.
- Be prepared to greet all guests in an engaging, friendly way
- Be receptive to cross training for different job functions within the department

- Frequently ascend/descend stairs.

- Frequently, concisely, and accurately communicate with guests and other employees
- Punctuality and ability to consistently report for all scheduled shifts.
- Flexible availability during the operating season.
- Follow direction with little monitoring
- Maintain strict confidentiality and judgment regarding privileged information with entertainment
- Must be able to get along with other employees and resolve conflict
Preferrable Skills:
- Background in guest service, front facing position
- Have a background in Entertainment and/or Theater
- A desire to learn about theater/entertainment
