What are the responsibilities and job description for the KCD Middle School After-School Care Teacher position at Kentucky Country Day School?
Kentucky Country Day School is currently in need of after-school teachers to provide supervision, support, and engagement for students in the middle school after-school program. This position helps create a safe, welcoming, and positive environment while supporting students during after-school hours. This is a part-time position working Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 4:00 pm-6:00 pm. Days of work are flexible.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Supervise middle school students during after-school programming.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all students.
- Monitor student attendance and sign-out procedures.
- Facilitate activities, games, study time, and enrichment opportunities.
- Encourage positive student behavior and uphold school expectations.
- Communicate concerns, incidents, or student needs to the Director of Auxiliary Programs.
- Maintain orderly program spaces and ensure materials are properly stored.
- Assist with student transitions and dismissal procedures.
- Respond appropriately to emergencies and follow school safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Experience working with middle school-aged students is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
