Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and assist them in locating products or services that suit their needs.
• Conduct engaging product demonstrations to highlight features and benefits, encouraging customer interest and upselling opportunities.
• Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system efficiently for transactions, including cash handling, credit card processing, and receipts issuance.
• Manage stock levels by merchandising displays, stocking shelves, and organizing products to optimize store presentation.
• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries with professionalism and courtesy, maintaining excellent phone etiquette when assisting remotely or over the phone.
• Support store operations through basic retail math calculations for pricing, discounts, and inventory management.
• Assist in maintaining a clean, organized store environment that adheres to safety standards and promotes an inviting shopping experience.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth daily operations, including supervising new team members when needed.
• Engage customers in bilingual communication when applicable to serve a diverse clientele effectively.
• Participate in promotional activities and special events to boost sales and enhance customer engagement.

Experience

• Previous experience in retail sales or customer service is preferred but not required; we value enthusiasm and a willingness to learn!
• Familiarity with POS systems, cashiering procedures, and basic retail math enhances your ability to succeed in this role.
• Supervising experience is a plus, demonstrating leadership qualities that can be leveraged within the team environment.
• Experience conducting product demos or upselling techniques will help maximize sales opportunities.
• Bilingual abilities are highly desirable for serving our diverse customer base effectively.
• Strong communication skills are essential for building rapport with customers and team members alike.
• Knowledge of grocery store operations or familiarity with merchandising practices can be advantageous but is not mandatory. Pay: $12.00 - $15.00 per hour
