Laundry Worker

Laundry Worker needed for 2nd shift for approx 90-100 residents to perform a variety of tasks including collecting and sorting soiled linen, loading and unloading machines, and folding clean linen.

Esssential Functions of the Job:

• Sorts soiled linen while following infection control procedures.. Sorting requires bending to retrieve items from floor etc.
• Lifts 30 to 40 lb bags of wet, soiled linen barrels while following infection control requirements.
• Transports sorted, soiled linen to washer and loads washer a minimum oif 15-20 times per day, while following infection control procedures.
• Transports wet, linen from washer and loads into dryer a minimum of 15-20 times per day, while following infection control procedures.
• Counts and records lined processed each day.
• Folds and bundles clean linens according to standards.
• Lifts bundles of clean linen to delivery cart a minimum of 40 to 50 times per day and delivers clean linen bundles, as well as personal clothing to units/rooms.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
