The School Resource Officer Program is a unique position that involves the assignment of police officers from the Kenton County Police Department to work directly with the Kenton County School District and the Diocese of Covington. The Kenton County Police Department is committed to working in close partnership with these schools to provide a safe and secure learning environment. Goals of this partnership include the following: maintaining a safe and secure environment on campus; preventing juvenile delinquency; preventing criminal activities and disturbances; promoting positive attitudes regarding police functions; and instilling students with a sense of their rights and responsibilities as citizens. The duties of the School Resource Officer are performed under limited supervision.
