Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated, dependable and detail-oriented Custodian to maintain cleanliness and safety of our facility-while also making a meaningful difference by supporting adults with disabilities in our custodial program.
Responsibilities
- Perform general cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and trash removal to ensure cleanliness of all areas.
- Conduct specialized cleaning tasks such as floor buffing, carpet cleaning, and window washing.
- Maintain and operate cleaning equipment and tools safely and efficiently.
- Assist with facilities maintenance tasks, including minor repairs and upkeep of fixtures.
- Ensure restrooms, kitchens, and common areas are sanitized and well-stocked.
- Follow safety protocols and proper handling procedures for cleaning chemicals and equipment.
- Support in moving furniture or equipment as needed for events or maintenance activities.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management promptly.
- Serve as a back-up forklift operator as needed.
Requirements
- Proven experience in janitorial, custodial, or commercial cleaning roles.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Valis driver's license required
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Ability to be flexible with work assignments
- Good physical stamina to perform manual tasks including lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and standing for 2.5 hours before breaks
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety across all areas.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $18.00 per hour
