- This position is designed and intended to be performed in Marshall, MO.
PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Safely operate, maintain, and calibrate the mixing system to support efficient, accurate, and consistent production of finished feeds.
- Complete scheduled feed mill mixing in accordance with formula cards, quality standards, SOPs, cGMP requirements, and established feed and food safety practices.
- Maintain accurate daily records of feed formulations, mixing activity, and required production documentation.
- Monitor equipment and work areas for safe and proper operation, maintaining clean conditions and promptly communicating equipment concerns, mixing errors, safety issues, or other production concerns to management.
- Promote a culture of safety, quality, and teamwork while assisting in other areas of production and performing additional duties as assigned by plant management.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND/OR QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or GED; must be at least 18 years of age to work in the plant.
- Previous feed mill, manufacturing, production, or related experience preferred.
- Knowledge of OSHA safety requirements, HACCP Feed & Food Safety Plans, FSMA requirements, and current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs), with a commitment to following established safety procedures and using required personal protective equipment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, basic math skills for accurate production documentation, and good mechanical aptitude.
- Dependable and detail-oriented, with the ability to work safely and effectively as part of a team and identify and communicate potential equipment or production concerns.
- Ability to safely lift a minimum of 50 pounds from floor level to working height as required by the job.
- Ability to safely work in a dusty production environment and both indoors and outdoors in seasonal weather conditions.
