What are the responsibilities and job description for the PM Pantry position at Kent School?
Title: PM Pantry/ Snack Bar
Reports to: Dining Hall Manager
Schedule/travel: Full-time calendar year position (or academic year schedule). The typical schedule is Monday through Friday, 2-10:30 pm (includes a ½ hour unpaid meal period). Additional hours may be required. Schedule may vary according to the Department and Kent School needs.
FLSA: Non-Exempt

Position Summary:
To monitor the pantry station and support the dishroom at dinner service for a population of about 520 students and 260 employees. To work the snack bar during PM operation.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities include:
- Inspect pantry food for taste, quality, and overall appearance.
- Work snack bar after dinner service. Take orders/ cook as needed.
- Recommend changes to improve quality, flavor, and cost efficiency.
- Guide students with tasks related to DH jobs
- Monitor consumption to recognize popular items, adjust production as necessary.
- Maintain the station refrigerator and storage areas.
- Ensure all items are labeled for allergens and identification.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment, according to federal, state, and local sanitation requirements.
- Contribute to team efforts by supporting other stations as needed.
- Performs other duties as needed and assigned.
Qualifications:
A combination of education and work experience in related fields, preferably in a busy cafeteria style environment. Servsafe certification is required (will be provided if needed)

- Possess the ability to prioritize, multitask, and manage time effectively.

- Show flexibility and adaptability; willingness to help team members if needed.
Physical Requirements:
The physical demands listed below are representative of those that must be met by the employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job:
- Requires employees to be on their feet for extended periods and climb stairs.
- Ability to lift and transport up to 50 lbs. without assistance.
Additional Requirements:
- Successful completion of post-offer, pre-employment criminal background checks and drug test.
- Maintain punctual and regular attendance.
- Work is performed on a smoke-free campus.
