Schedule/travel: Full-time 10 or 12 months position available. The typical schedule is Monday 10:30 am to 7 pm, Tuesday through Friday 6 am to 2:30 pm (includes a ½ hour unpaid meal period). Additional hours may be required. Schedule may vary according to the Department and Kent School needs.

Qualifications:
A Culinary degree or a combination of education and work experience in related fields, preferably in a busy cafeteria style environment. Servsafe certification is required (will be provided if needed)

Specific Duties And Responsibilities Include
- Plan production according to menus, and define clear prep expectations and production lists for the assistant baker.
- Prepare and bake items such as cookies, muffins, pastries, cakes, and puddings.
- Operate kitchen equipment including ovens, mixers, and baking tools safely.
- Create and utilize standard recipes to produce high quality, delicious baked goods.
- Monitor consumption to recognize popular items.
- Work in a customer service role two (2) days per week.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment, according to federal, state and local sanitation requirements.
- Train the bake shop assistant as necessary.
- Contribute to the team by supporting other stations as needed.
- Performs other duties as needed and assigned.
Qualifications:

- Requires employees to be on their feet for extended periods, and climb stairs.
- Ability to lift and transport up to 50 lbs. without assistance.
- Successful completion of post-offer, pre-employment criminal background checks and drug test.
- Maintain punctual and regular attendance.
- Work is performed on a smoke free campus.
