What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dispatch Driver position at Kent Power?
Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Dispatch Driver to join our fleet team. This Dispatch Driver will support our fleet team and crews by ensuring the safe and reliable transportation of equipment and vehicles across the Kent Power footprint.
Duties
- Work with Fleet Coordinator to schedule transportation for company equipment and vehicles between job sites, fleet yard, and maintenance shop.
- Load, secure, and drive all necessary equipment to deliver to end location(s), including tractor trailers, lowboy trailers, etc.
- Provide excellent customer service supporting field crews and fleet team
- Maintain high safety standards as it relates to moving heavy equipment and consistent driving.
- Occasional overnight travel as needed
Experience
- CDL A Required
- Experience driving tractor trailer including permitted loads (heavy haul), and operating other equipment like lowboy trailers
- Experience loading/securing various types of equipment and materials
