Shipping Material Handler

Job Summary: Responsible for transporting parts, cabinets, and components throughout the factory on a conveyer or pallet.

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Moving parts, pieces, and/or cabinets from one area to another.

· Keep a safe workplace by housekeeping and keeping an organized work area.

· Use assistive lifting and transporting devices to prevent injuries to self and others.

Qualifications:

· Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.

Essential Functions of the Job:

· Stand and walk up to twelve hours per day on concrete surfaces while loading and stacking cabinets in the factory.

· Physically carry and transport items long distances up to eight hours a day.

· Must be able to lift, carry, and transport in excess of fifty pounds frequently and repetitively for up to eight hours a day.

· Frequently bend, stoop, reach grasps, twist, push, and pull items which range in excess of fifty pounds.

· Must be able to communicate effectively with management and coworkers by phone or in-person.

· Must be mentally alert and capable of remembering oral instructions and routine tasks.

· Must be able to withstand fluctuations in temperature and environmental fluctuations.

· Must be able to transport items through mud, sleet, and rain.

· Must be able to work the required daily and weekly work hours as determined by the schedule.

· Good attendance and punctuality is necessary.

· Must pass a minimum competency test.

· Must exemplify through appearance and behavior the company’s image of excellence.

· Must be alert and able to identify and respond to a hazard by either reporting it immediately, or by taking corrective measures if directed.

· Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
