What are the responsibilities and job description for the Radiology Aide/Front Office position at Kent Hospital?
Primary Function
Responsible for receiving patients and processing patient records for the Diagnostic Imaging department.
Responsibilities
- Greets patients and places orders for testing into the computer system if necessary. Transports patients to dressing area if needed and contacts appropriate departments when patient has arrived. Coordinates patient arrival for diagnostic imaging , special procedures, cardiac cath. and technical services.
- Uploads/downloads imaging CDs at requests and works with HIS to ensure patient results are distributed appropriately. Distributes reports to physician offices and other medical facilities upon request and in the manner requested ( fax, mail, courier).
- Coordinates prior reports/ images as required (films, files, CD, reports).
- Coordinates follow-up appointments or verbal orders form physician offices.
- Prints and reviews daily schedules for patient testing.
- Stocks and organizes dressing rooms for patients.
- Assist technologist with patient movement when required.
- Coordinates appropriate paperwork for Radiologists on off hours for other XRA sites to be read.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications and Specifications
A High School diploma required. Experience working with patients in a healthcare setting preferred.
