An Associate’s degree in Radiologic Technology and minimum six months job-related experience or equivalent is required. CPR Certification Required. ARRT is also required.

Responsible for planning and performing diagnostic patient examinations using technical skills utilizing radiation-emitting equipment to produce diagnostic radiographs.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Review requisitions to determine proper room set up and amounts of radiation. Study views required for examination relative to patient’s anatomy and perform examinations.
- Prepare and administer contrast agents (e.g. Barium) as required.
- Provide nursing care to patient during and following examinations. This includes evaluating patient and calling codes if patient gets in dire distress.
- Provide radiation protection for self, patient and staff by using various protective devices and by selecting radiation factors which will result in a quality study with minimal radiation exposure to the patient.
- Evaluate diagnostic films to ensure quality studies, having unsuitable films repeated as necessary.
- Perform other various functions including assisting radiologist during procedures.
- Train employees and students in day to day procedures.
- Performs all other related duties as assigned.
