The Board of Commissioner's Office is seeking an experienced Senior Administrative Specialist possessing strong attention to detail, interpersonal and customer service skills, and an ability to problem-solve complex issues.
The Senior Administrative Specialist will provide high-level administrative support including managing incoming communications, scheduling and calendar organization, budget management, and assisting with special projects. This role requires a proactive professional with strong judgment and the ability to manage complex tasks, sensitive information, and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be highly organized, and can provide information and service to a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support to the Board Liaison and County Board of Commissioners
- Assist with taking meeting minutes and preparing agendas and resolutions
- Maintain and update website content
- Assist with budget tracking, purchasing, and invoicing
- Coordinate calendars and meetings, including meeting preparation
- Serve as a front desk liaison for internal and external stakeholders
- Maintain records, files, and databases in accordance with retention policies
- Develop, implement, and maintain administrative systems and workflows
- Identify administrative process improvements and recommend efficiencies to enhance operations
- Manage confidential and sensitive information with discretion and professionalism
- Support special projects and initiatives as assigned

High school graduate or equivalent with post-secondary training in Office Administration, Business Administration, Management, or related field and a minimum of four years of progressively responsible experience in administrative support. Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and office systems. Must possess strong organizational, time-management and communication skills. The ability to interact in a professional manner with a diverse population is essential.

Salary : $26 - $30
