What are the responsibilities and job description for the Clerk Typist II position at Kent County?
The successful candidate will provide clerical support for the WIC (Women, Infants and Children) and Immunization programs within the Community Clinical Services Division of the Kent County Health Department. Duties will include answering phones, screening for program services eligibility, scheduling appointments for WIC, routine and travel immunizations and lead screening as well as other duties as assigned.
Excellent computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Publisher, desired, along with the ability to type 50wpm or higher. The ability to operate a variety of office equipment is required. Must possess effective communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to positively interact with clients from a wide range of cultural and socio-economic backgrounds. Delivering excellent customer service to all clients while maintaining confidentiality of information is essential. The ability to speak Spanish or another foreign language is beneficial.

Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, no weekends, nights or holidays. Will be required to work 10 am - 7pm on the 2nd and 4th Thursday of each month.
