- Able to operate a point-of-sale (POS) system.
- Outstanding customer service skills.
- PGA Apprentice working to attain PGA Professional status desirable.
- Enthusiastically promote the game of golf.
- Knowledge of and ability to perform required role in emergency situations.
Job Summary (Essential Functions)
Manages all daily Golf Shop communication and daily merchandise sales. Ensures that the shop operation is functioning well and that all phases of service and their execution are optimal. Properly communicates with outside operation personnel.
Job Tasks/Duties
- Arranges and displays Pro Shop inventory.
- Keeps up to date knowledge of events and goings on at the club.
- Keeps up to date knowledge on Golf Shop merchandise and provides sales expertise to members and guests
- Cordially answers club phone calls and assists members and guests with requests
- Communicates day of play updates with outside service staff
- Assists with Golf Pro Shop merchandising, cleaning (vacuums and dusts) and restocking.
- Accurately records all sales transactions.
- Operates point of sale (POS) system and online ADMIN tee time software.
- Takes messages and follows-up on requests from members.
- Follows-up with Golf Professionals on member requests.
- Assists in receiving, logging, packing and unpacking inventory.
- Is affluent in the tournament software for member tournament sign-ups.
- Assists in special orders.
- Accurately records future tee time requests.
- Assists with special promotions and sales.
- Assists with inventory counts and reports to the Golf Professional Staff
- Opens and closes Golf Pro Shop as scheduled.
- Attends staff meetings.
- Completes other assignments requested by the Golf Pro Shop Manager.
Certifications and Special Requirements
- Valid Drivers License Required
Physical Demands and Work Environment
- Able to meet and perform the physical requirements and to work effectively in an environment which is typical of this position.
- Frequent lifting, bending and pulling.
- Frequent repetitive motions.
Continuous standing and walking.
Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
